Event Information
Fresher's week is always pretty wild, but why not explore some true wilderness and submerge yourself in the waterways of Wales? The Cardiff University Wild Swimming Society is offering a unique opportunity to explore the stunning countryside around Cardiff, as we take you on an adventure to a beautiful waterfall swimming spot in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. A minibus and a short walk will take you to Lady Falls, a hidden paradise that you don't have to travel half way round the world for. So if you fancy something more adventurous on a Sunday morning, please come join! Don't forget a towel, swimming gear, some warm clothes for after the dip, sturdy shoes (in case of muddy ground), food, water, suncream (you never know) and fun stuff for the water (e.g. goggles, rubber rings, inflatable sharks).
This is wild swimming, so, despite the fact that there is not a huge amount of swimming involved, you must be a competent swimmer. Therefore you can only attend this session if you have taken part in the Meet, Greet and Swim test session (even if you aren't sure if you will get in the water!) This session will however be a great chance to meet people before we all set of for the swim so we hope to see you all at both events!!
