WeBS Count

Sunday 11 November 2018, 10am - noon

Roath Park Lake

Event Information

The Wetland Ecological Bird Survey (WeBS) is a monthly survey we carry out at Roath Park Lake. These counts are important British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) surveys and contribute to an ongoing data set across the U.K. It's a fantastic way to learn and practice identification skills, help the conservation of wetland birds, and will stand out on your CV - or just a productive way to procrastinate from studying! No experience needed. Followed by a stop at the cafe after, so bring along some money if you will want to buy a drink.

No experience needed, we will provide all training on the day :)

Meet by Terra Nova cafe at 10 am. If you are unsure of how to get there, let us know and a group of us can meet behind the SU at 20 past 9!

More information about the survey can be found at https://www.bto.org/volunteer-surveys/webs/about
