Penarth Hike

Saturday 26 September 2020, 10am - 2pm

Penarth Station car park

Event Information

A 10 km hike along the coast from Penarth to Cardiff Bay. The walk will pass through Penarth and along the coast which is known for its Jurassic fossils and “dinosaur footprints”. It then continues to Cardiff Barrage, where the rivers Taff and Ely join to create a massive freshwater lake (the bay), and to the Queen Alexandra Dock. The hike will end at Cardiff Bay which is a 45 minute walk from the city centre or a 5 minute train journey from Cardiff Bay Station to Queen Street.

You must wear sturdy shoes or walking boots as this coastline is rocky. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and bring a waterproof coat, water for your consumption only, plenty of food for lunch, hand sanitiser and any other PPE you feel appropriate.

If you are taking public transport you must wear a mask.
