Cardiff University Students’ Union has teamed up with our very own letting agency to deliver this specific house-hunting event for Postgraduates coming to Cardiff to study. Cardiff Student Letting are a letting agency who are owned and run by Cardiff University Students’ Union. Their service is completely free of charge and they do NOT charge any agency or admin fees.
This event is an excellent opportunity to come to Cardiff, explore the city, and meet other postgraduates about to start their studies. The focus of the event is for everyone to meet each other and secure accommodation for the new academic year with like-minded people with the help of Cardiff Student Letting.
The event, taking place between Wednesday 14th August and Friday 16th August will include:
Wednesday
- Refreshments on arrival
- Welcome and introduction talks
- Information from the Student Advice Service, Cardiff Student Letting and the elected Vice President for Postgraduate Students
- Social and mixer activities to meet other students and welcome you to Cardiff
- Check into accommodation
- Evening meal and social activity in a local pub
Thursday
- Facilitated house viewings and support provided by Cardiff Student Letting.
- Full support to sign up to tenancy agreements
- Evening social
By this point you will have found a few new friends and have formed your housing groups. We have a casual reservation at a different local pub for everyone to meet a second time with your newly formed housing groups but as further chance to socialise with the broader group of fellow postgraduates.
Friday
- Finalising tenancy details
- Further facilitated house viewings and support provided by Cardiff Student Letting if required.
- Full support to sign up to tenancy agreements
