As part of Black History Month, the Staff BME+ and Student BME+ Networks are launching a joint BME+ network, with the aim of collaborating on events throughout the year. Help us kick start this initiative.
The networks exists to assist the University as an informal consultation group to help policy making, look at training and development needs and in supporting BME+ people and signposting to relevant policies.
The launch is part of an initiative towards developing a stronger supportive network to support members. We can also help the culture of the university in becoming a more inclusive place that works together with BME+ people. The joint event starts on the 18th October in the Wallace Lecture Theatre, Main Building. The launch will take place 17.30-18.00, followed by a chance to mingle and have ‘A Big Discussion’ - a safe space for BME people to talk about their experiences 19.00-21.00
