Event Information

The purpose of the event is trying to answer two questions.

How did colonialism affect the black history?

The British Empire had looked at colonialism in a very positive manner. In the British school curriculums does  not include how different societies were affected by the colonialism. The purpose of this talk is to question critically on how Britain and different colonial powers affected the colonialism of the curriculum taught.

How has the black identity helped shape the world development?

The second question aims to look at how black identity has contributed to the development of various industries. This will be done by critically looking at different individuals who have made a positive contribution to the world history. The aim is bust the myths that those who identified as black have contributed nothing to the world of commerce and industry and world history.

So come along to this eye-opening session and enjoy the drum performance too.
