A mini version of our Jailbreak challenge, teams will be driven across the country where they will have to complete challenges and then make their way back to the SU as quickly as possible. All to raise money for charity and Cardiff Volunteering!
Mini Jailbreak is a brand new challenge event running this year on the 24th of November. Teams of 2, 3 or 4 members will compete in a race to the SU. You get to pick your own team, however if you can't find people to do it with we're holding an event which you can find here, where you can find a team. The teams will be driven away from the Students Union, once at the mystery location they will be given a challenge to complete, once they've completed it they'll race back to the Students Union, first back wins!! You're only allowed to spend other people’s money, none of your own so you'll have to blag your way back to the students union anyway that you can. There will be prizes for the winning team and for other categories such as best fancy dress and best blag!
As well as buying the £10 ticket each team member needs to raise minimum of £20 each for Cardiff Volunteering to take part. So, for example, if you are a team of 3 you need to raise minimum £60. You can buy your ticket before you start fundraising and you can carry on fundraising throughout/after the event! You can raise money just for Cardiff Volunteering and our projects or 50% of the money you raise can go to Cardiff Volunteering, the other 50% can go towards any local charities you support or your chosen Cardiff University Students' Union Society or AU club.
If you would like to volunteer but haven't got a team yet, you can sign up to our "find your team" event here, https://www.cardiffstudents.com/events/12305/13521/ there will be food and drink and you can meet some like-minded people to team up with.
Tickets are non-refundable
You'll need to set up a BT MyDonate page that is connected to the Cardiff Volunteering fundraising page. If you are raising money just for Cardiff Volunteering you can find help on setting up and connecting your BT mydonate page to ours here If you are raising money for Cardiff Volunteering and another charity please find a different guide for setting up your fundraising page here
