Summer Camp Volunteer Team Leader

Could you help young people have a summer of adventure they will remember for the rest of their lives? By volunteering for CampYHA 2019, you will make a huge impact on our campers who are all children of RAF service families. Our summer camps are fun and vibrant environment that give young people the opportunity to develop and gain independence through outdoor activities and adventure. Your role will be to inspire and encourage campers to make the most of their summer camp experience.

In 2019 camps will be attended by the children of RAF service families. Summer camps give young people the opportunity to develop and gain independence through outdoor activities and adventure. Our studies show that campers reported an increase in their well-being during their time at camp.

Location

Various YHA hostels in Shropshire, Derbyshire and Gloucestershire.

Training available

You will need to be available to attend a training course on 5-7 July at YHA Edale in Derbyshire. Our training course covers safeguarding, behaviour management, leadership, communication skills and best practice relating to supporting young people in a residential setting.

Transport details

We provide help with travel expenses of up to £150 (for travel to camp and training combined).
