Cosmeston Medieval Village Volunteer

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

Cosmeston Medieval Village is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team in the village. Work will include carrying gardening work in our recreated medieval gardens, maintaining paths, maintenance work on our recreated medieval buildings and interacting with visitors to the site.

By volunteering at Cosmeston you will help to contribute to the maintenance of the recreated historical building and gardens at Cosmeston Medieval Village that are used to explain life in a 14th century village in Wales to visiting members of the public and school groups.

Volunteers will be offered manual handling training and shown how to use tools and machinery such as lawnmowers.

Transport details

Ample free car parking can be found in the main car park of Cosmeston Lakes Country Park. In addition to this there is a bus stop located just outside the park on the main road that is on a bus route into the center of Cardiff. Finally Penarth train station is a twenty minute walk from the park.
