Society for Women Graduates

Society for Women Graduates

The Cardiff University Society for Women Graduates is a friendly and enthusiastic group of postgraduates at the University. The aims of the society are to provide a platform for female researchers, to engage with current research being undertaken at this University, and to provide a network of support and mentorship for women graduates. We run social events throughout the year (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and bigger, one-off, events such as careers workshops, guest lectures, and workshops. Our main event is a conference to be run in spring term 2019 to showcase the work of our members.

The society provides networking opportunities so that you can meet researchers from different fields and at different stages in the academic careers in an informal and welcoming setting. Our group is cross-disciplinary and we aim to provide resources and opportunities to postgraduates across the University. As we are a new society we are keen to hear about new ways that we can support the postgraduate community so if you have any ideas for events that you would like us to take part in please drop us an email or message through social media.

Please log in to view the committee.
