My name is Becca Rees and I am the Societies, Postraguate and International Officer
I'm here to assist you with any issues or concerns you may have during your time at Cardiff University, you can find me on the third floor of the Students' Union, Park Place.
The Students' Union is home to over 130 societies, some are charity based, offering the chance to volunteer your time and energy for a worthy cause, others, such as the drama, dance, music and art societies, allow you to explore your more creative side! Alternatively, you may simply wish to join a society relating to your degree scheme. Either way, there are cultural, international, sporting, religious, academic and social societies to suit practically anyone!
Having really enjoyed being a member of many different societies throughout my student life at Cardiff, I am really excited to have the opportunity to encourage their overall development over the course of the next year. I would definitely recommend signing up, they are great fun and you will undoubtedly make lots of great friends along the way. As well as maintaining the day to day running of societies and offering support and guidance to all members, I am here to represent International and Postgraduate students. I am more than happy to help out with any queries or problems that may arise so please do not hesitate to contact me if ever you have any difficulties. I studied Spanish and French at university which involved studying and working abroad for a year in a number of locations. This was a great year and it has given me a good understanding of the needs of international students out there and many ideas as to ways in which I can improve and really help you benefit from your time and experiences here at Cardiff.
