What does your job actually entail? What do you see as your main responsibilities?

The point of this job is to represent those students with disabilities and push forward changes to make all aspects of university as equally accessible as possible.

What do you think the job demands in terms of personal attributes or skills?

The main demand of this job is initiative. It is practically impossible to get other SWDs to talk to you, so, selfish this may seem, this roll is YOUR ship and you need to know where to steer it.

What do you enjoy most about the job?

Honestly?! The nights out with other exec.

What are the challenges/obstacles you face?

As mentioned above, getting people to communicate is my biggest challenge and I still haven't solved it!

What have you achieved since coming into your position?

I have raised disability awareness through posters and established a weekly column in the Gair Rhydd.

What's next?

I'm planning a sports event in the great hall. Plus I am in the process of trying to establish a poster campaign to illustrate the services offered in the Student Support Centre.

Would you recommend your role? If so, why?

It's a hard role, if you wish to achieve anything, but quite a nice feeling of potential power!
