What does your job actually entail? What do you see as your main responsibilities?
My main responsibilities involve publicising and promoting Atheltic Union events and campaigns. I assist the AU President and other AU staff where necessary. I organised the AU Auction and also take minutes at AU council.
What do you think the job demands in terms of personal attributes or skills?
The role requires you to be well organised and easy to talk to. Often there will be lots of things that need doing all at the same time! The job also needs you to be enthusiastic and passionate about sport.
What do you enjoy most about the job?
The thing I enjoy most about the job is getting involved with new projects and campaigns. When you work in the Union you see what really goes into making things happen!
What are the challenges/obstacles you face?
Finding the time to do it all! Once you get sucked into the Union you're there for the rest of the day. This can obviously make things difficult when you also have a degree to finish!
Would you recommend your role? If so, why?
Yes! It's a great opportunity to meet new people, have loads of fun and learn new skills. It can also give you an opportunity to make new things happen!
