What does your job actually entail? What do you see as your main responsibilities?
Liasing with LGBT community organisations, working on NUS campaigns, working with the university to improve welfare, Facilitating the LGBT Forum and actioning their requests and suggestions

Empathy, diplomacy, ability to look objectively at current systems, ambition for improvement and change, good organisational skills, enthusiasm
What do you enjoy most about the job?
Being able to make a difference, getting involved in NUS and executive events, freedom to implement relevent campaigns, working with the executive
What are the challenges/obstacles you face?
Lack of awareness aroung LGBT issues
What have you achieved since coming into your position?
Creation of the LGBT forum, awareness training to nightline volunteers, ShAg week activities, improvements to transgender welfare
What's next?
Debate, then following outcome, implementation of the Donation not discrimination campaign. Love without borders campaign launch in February beginning with a balloon release, then twinning with an underground LGBT rights group in India to help and support their work. Continue to publicise and hold meetings of the LGBT forum.
