Hello! My name is Sally Airey and I am the Societies, Postgraduate and International Sabbatical Officer in the Students' Union.
I have been elected to represent you and improve your student experience while you are studying at Cardiff University. Based on the 3rd Floor of the Students' Union, my door is always open and I am happy to talk to you about anything from an academic issue to your ideas about social events.
The Students' Union is here to help you whether your are having trouble with your supervisor, struggling to find accomodation or are under stress because of your workload. We want to work with you to provide a high level of service and work around your needs. If you like the sound of this, we encourage you to get more involved and join the Postgraduate Student Committee that meets once a month. You do not need to come every time but it would be great if you could have some input and change out Union for the better.
We also have a Postgraduate Support Officer, Joy Kirimi Buria, who works part time and is a Phd student at Cardiff. She helps out a great deal and is always looking for your feedback and ideas. You can contact Joy on kirimij@cardiff.ac.uk or come along to the committee.
