Cardiff University Students' Union is a member of NUS, the National Union of Students.
Our affiliation to NUS makes it easier for us to represent the views of Cardiff students on a national level, share best practice with other students' unions across the UK, and gain strength as part of a national student movement.
NUS' next Annual Conference takes place from 1st-3rd April 2008, in Blackpool. The conference is similar to an extended version of our own Annual General Meeting, with hundreds of delegates representing the views of students from higher and further education institutions across the UK.
Cardiff University Students' Union is entitled to 15 delegates, a number which is proportionate to the size of our student body here in Cardff. We will cover delegate travel, accommodation and food expenses for the duration of the conference.
Each of our delegates must be elected democratically by cross-campus ballot, which means that you must follow the same procedure for nomination and election as those standing for election onto the Union's Executive Committee.
