Use Your Vote.
Take Us Forward.
Cardiff University Students' Union holds annual, cross-campus March elections and October by-elections in order for you to choose your student representatives for the next academic year.
Elections are an exciting time for the Union, as the newly elected Executive Committee proposes new ways to move the Union forward and help our organisation to progress. The elected student representatives will be responsible for addressing the issues that affect students at Cardiff University.
Every single student at Cardiff University has the right to vote and stand in Union elections. This is your fundamental opportunity to have a say in how your Union is run, and how your views are represented on an institutional, local and national level.
The main elections are fast approaching, with voting taking place on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th March 2008. For the full list of key dates and events in the run up to voting, click here.
This March, you will be electing students into no less than 35 different positions. There is strong competition for most of the positions, and so the nominated candidates will do everything they can to capture your imagination and inspire you to vote. The campus becomes a hive of activity, as candidates display posters, dress up their campaign teams and make brief announcements in lectures.
We want to make sure that you have access to all the infomation you need in order to make the most of your fundamental democratic right to participate in Union elections.
Take some time to browse through the information here on the website. Whether you are interested in standing for election, or simply want to find out how to vote, it's all here.
