AGM 2008

This year's AGM will be held on Thursday 21st February in the Great Hall, at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

All students at Cardiff University are invited to attend.  All you need to vote is your NUS student ID card.

We will presenting you with our Annual Report, the numerous achievements of the organisation and your elected Executive Committee over the past year, and the motions you have tabled for discussion.   We'll also be asking you if you'd like us to keep the smoking areas we recently introduced on a trial basis.

However, this year's agenda also addresses a number of projects that place the Students' Union at a crucial stage in the development of the organisation.

We really value your opinion on:

The future development of the Students' Union building.   What do you think our priorities should be?

Our plans to conduct an entire review and re-writing of our constitution over the next 12 months.  This will have a fundamental and far-reaching effect on the way the Students' Union is run, and how students are engaged and consulted at every level of our decision-making processes.

The longer-term strategic direction of the organisation.  This is something that the Students' Union has been consistently lacking for years - a strategic plan which outlines our vision, mission, aims, priorities and core values.  What do you think we should be aiming for?

Together, these proposals provide the potential for massive changes to the way the Students' Union looks and operates over the coming months and years.

Make sure you have your say on Thursday 21st February.  We look forward to seeing you then.

The deadline for submission of motions has now passed, and the final agenda can be found below.
