Retail Assistants are responsible for ensuring that visitors to the retail outlets are dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. General duties will include; serving customers, cash handling, till operation, stocking shelves, stock rotation, standards and provision of excellent service in accordance with the duties of the job.
We have 3 retail outlets and opening times / shift patterns vary according to the outlet. (Union shop, Kiosk and IT shop). Although most of our students work between 4 – 12 hours a week on a 3 – 4 hour shift. We also look after the vending machines that are in the Student union.
Ideally you will have an out going personality and are not scared of talking to our customers on a wide range of areas as we sell lots of different products across our stores.
Previous experience is good although training will be provided so if you have no experience, give retail a try.
