Sustainable development aims to ensure that social, environmental and economic issues are considered together. We aim to meet the needs of the present but not to compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Sustainability isn't just about large projects and plans. Everyone can contribute by making small but significant changes in the way they live and work. The following is a selection of best practice tips for students so that you can take positive actions to make Cardiff a more sustainable city. It deals with the issues where you can easily make a difference, and many of the tips have the added bonus of saving you money.
