We're excited to announce that Cardiff University Students' Union has been ranked number 83 in the Sunday Times top 100 Not-for-Profit Organisations to work for and awarded the highly sought-after Best Companies One Star Accreditation for 2015.

The recognition is for outstanding levels of staff engagement and reflects the Union’s commitment to creating a positive working environment for its staff. The Union’s ranking was revealed last week at an awards ceremony in London and will be published in a league table in the Sunday Times on 15th March. This is the first time that the Students’ Union has participated in the survey and we are one of only three students’ unions recognised in the top 100.

Students’ Union Chief Executive, Daniel Palmer, said  “Achieving Best Companies accreditation and placing within the top 100 Not-for-Profit companies demonstrates how highly we value our staff and how much we recognise that highly motivated staff are essential to our success. Achieving this award also helps us to attract the highest calibre people to the organisation, which will greatly benefit our student members through the services we provide.”

Cardiff University Students’ Union (CUSU) aims to work with every Cardiff student to enhance their university experience. We are led and directed by over 28,000 Cardiff University student members, run by a Board of Trustees and led by seven elected student officers. As an organisation, we strive to help students enjoy their time in Cardiff, make friends and leave University with skills for a future career. CUSU is a charity offering services, resources and support. We use money made through our bars, cafes, shops and events to improve the services offered to students. We offer advice, representation, training, skills development, student activities, volunteering opportunities and employment. We join students in campaigning about the issues important to them and we aspire to have a positive impact on the wider community in Cardiff.
