Reel Big Fish - Great Hall - £14 - 7pm
An engaging scruffy collection of musical misfits, Reel Big Fish are a 7 piece good time Ska band. Hailing from California they secured a recording contract with Mojo records and released 2nd album Turn the Radio Off in late 1996. The single Sell Out from this album, was a riposte to fans who felt the band had betrayed their roots in order to chase chart success, ironically provided them with their breakthrough hit single. Album Why Do They Rock So Hard followed in 1998 but the strain of constant touring was beginning to show as drummer Andrew Gonzales, trombonist Grant Barry and trumpeter Travis Werts all leaving the band.2002's Cheer Up failed to match the success of its predecessors. However, they remain a formidable and popular live draw. Tickets are £14.

Supergrass - £16.50 - 7/10/05 - Great Hall
Oh thank the heavens for their return. We have missed you dear Supergrass. They returned in August with the fantastic new single St Petersburg and the equally excellent new album Road to Rouen. It has been 18 long months since Supergrass last played our fair Union and you can guarantee that all the old classics will be unleashed. Who could ever forget Caught by the fuzz, Richard III, Mary, Late in the day or Mansize Rooster. Bet the Kaiser Chiefs wish they had a back catalogue half as good as that. Explosive live, get ready to be blown away in a hail of classic Rock 'n' Roll.buy tickets now

The Magic Numbers - £10 - Solus
The Magic Numbers consist of two sets of siblings. They are Romeo and Michelle Stoddart and Angela and Sean Gannon. Their eponymous debut muscled it's way into the top 10 earlier this year and looks set for a long stint in our charts. Heavily influenced by the Beach Boys, they have recently toured with their mentor Brian Wilson and proved a massively popular draw at festivals across Britain. We cannot wait to welcome them to our wonderous Union.buy tickets now
The Coral - Great Hall - 7pm - £15
Scouse sextet The Coral return in the autumn in support of their third album proper 'The Invisible Invasion.' The Coral are reknown for their explosive live shows and this promises to be no different. The leading single - In The Morning - off the new album crashed into the top 10. The Coral have now notched up 3 top 10 albums. Originating from Hoylake on the Wirral peninsula, The Coral formed in 1996. A recording contract with Sony soon followed and their debut e.p Shadows Fall was released in 2001. Their self titled debut followed in August 2002 to much critical acclaim. Follow up Magic and Medicine was a number one smash the following year.buy tickets now
The Ordinary Boys - Solus - £12.50 7pm
The Ordinary Boys are tye most British of bands. Influenced heavily by the likes The Jam, The Smiths and Gene, they have an instinctive aptitude for writing cracking pop tunes with truly infectious hooks. The Ordinary Boys are a restless energetic band that simply demand to be heard. The follow up to their debut Over The Counter Culture is called Brassbound and is released on June 20th.buy tickets now
Bloc Party - Great Hall - £13.50
Who are Bloc Party you ask? I don't know is the answer. I've heard their good though and they like to sing about Helicopters, banquets and other such crazy things. They featured on the recent NME tour on the same bill as the Kaiser Chefs( so named because they used to work in McDonalds - losers) The Futureheads(cyborgs from the future who live in a land far far away) and The Killers who are really rather good but i have been asked to point out that people shouldn't take their name literally. Anywho, go and by a ticket cos these guys will be massive!buy tickets now
Rooster - Great Hall - 7pm - £12.50
Rooster arrived in the big time in October, when debut single 'Come Get Some' entered the UK charts at No 7. Rooster are singer Nick Atkinson, guitarist Luke Potashnick, bassist Ben Smyth and drummer David Neale. The band settled on the name Rooster after Nick came home £250 richer after putting a bet on a horse called Rooster Booster. Music Week described them as having the swagger of Oasis with Aerosmith's riffs. That is praise indeed. Rooster want to bring you classic rock and they surely will. Tickets cost £12.50.buy tickets now
Motorhead - 3/11/05 - £21.50
In 1975 Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister was sacked by Hawkwind after being detained at Canadian customs on drug possesion charges. The last song he wrote for them was called Motorhead and so a band was born. Ace of Spades remains their most successful moment and the Great Hall is sure to be rocking for this one. Legend has it that Lemmy took so many drugs in his younger days that he has to take speed and amphetamines every day just to stay alive. That sounds like a tall story to me. Tickets are £21.50.buy tickets now
Ian Brown - £20 - Great Hall - 25/11/05
What an absolute hero this man is. The Stone Roses are one of the greatest bands Britain has ever produced. Since the Roses imploded in 96 after a catastrophic appearance at the Reading festival, Brown has produced four solo albums to great acclaim and success. Music of Spheres is my personal favourite but Golden Greats and newie Solarized are both excellent. In addition to his solo material it is rumoured that Brown will be playing some of his Roses classics. At £20 this is a bargain and promises to be an explosive show!buy tickets now
Cradle of Filth - 5/12/05 - £14 - Great Hall
The outlandish Cradle of Filth became the most popular UK representative of the Satanic black metal revival of the early 90's with the release of their formidable 1994 debut - The Principle of Evil Made Flesh. Cradle of Filth have a very gothic, quasi - poetoc musical outlook. The core of their sound is a blizzard of apocalyptic guitars and vocals. 5 albums into their career Cradle of Filth are still going strong and arrive in Cardiff to wreak havoc on December 5th.buy tickets now
