CUB

The Transport Coordinator also manages the CUB bus service. From Freshers week this will only operate in the evenings (2100-close) during term time, and 2 Buses will need to be scheduled for this each day (1 bus Sundays). This service takes priority over club/soc bookings, and any drivers wishing to take part in this require a D1 on their licence. The Transport Coordinator will enter the drivers onto the vehicles set aside for the service on GroupWise.

Drivers need to bring their timesheets in by midday Friday. Check them off against GroupWise and sign the supervisor box. This will need to be taken to TOM, the President or Union Secretary for countersigning (Head of Department). If these are all missing then ask the Finance manager to sign them when they are taken to finance (before 1500).

Fuel

All Union Vehicles are Diesel (This may change). They all need to be left with a full tank of fuel after use. If not, the club/soc that last used the vehicle before it was reported low will be charged for topping up the tank. Ask the club/soc that found the vehicle low to bring in the receipt; this should be close to the time out for the vehicle so that the club/soc being fined is not paying for the trip of the vehicle! Some clubs know how much fuel they use for certain trips, and so on large bills they be compensated up to this amount. Contact the driver/s of the vehicle and ask them to bring in the money for the receipt, or get their treasurer to bring it in ASAP. Warn the club/soc that continued misuse will lead to removal of bookings (including BUSA bookings) and the club will have to find their own way or pay for a bus.

Breakdown

The Union vehicles are covered by AA breakdown cover. It is the Transport Coordinators responsibility to ensure that this cover is maintained.
Details on what to do in the event of a breakdown can be found in the Drivers Handbook:
