STAR (Student Action for Refugees) is a national network of student groups. Its aims are:
i) to learn about and raise awareness of refugee issues in innovative ways
ii) to support refugees in a practical way in their communities through volunteering
iii) to campaign with and for the rights of refugees everywhere
We are in the process of setting up a lunch group for asylum seekers. If you are interested in becoming involved, please email star@cardiff.ac.uk
Past Events:
-Global village- the STAR stall had samples of food from countries where many refugees come from
-Visit to Campsfield detention centre- very interesting!
