whsuiteThe highlight of the Music Society Social Calendar arrived on Friday 3rd March 2006 to the Whitehall Suite of the Thistle Hotel in the centre of Cardiff (pictured left).

A fantastic time was had by all, with a few extra surprises on the evening:

•A true 'Red Carpet' entrance
•Fanfare and Dinner Call by the Fanfare Team of the Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh
•Chocolate fountain (complete with marshmallows and grapes!)
•Live jazz band during dinner
•DJ and disco late in to the night

  • Panache of colourful leaves, sliced tomato and mozzarella cheese dressed with balsamic vinegar and black olives (v)
    OR
  • Leek and potato soup
• Main Course
  • Leg of lamb with stuffing served with lyonnaise potatoes and a mint sauce
    OR
  • Puff pastry chicken served on a bed of leeks accompanied by garlic roasted Parisienne potatoes with a mushroom sauce
    OR
  • Stuffed peppers set on a vegetable stir-fry (v)
• Desserts
  • Crisp brandy snap basket filled with a selection of exotic fruit in a brandy sauce (v)
    OR
  • An individual milk chocolate cream terrine with a cordon of dark chocolate sauce (v)
