01/05/06 - LOST JACKET
Did you lose a jacket at the after-concert party on April 1st at the Yard? If so please speak to a member of the committee and we'll get it back to you.
30/04/06 - 3rd YEAR PHOTO
The 3rd year group photo will take place on Wednesday 3rd May outside the music department at 4.15pm.
08/03/06 - ANNUAL BALL PHOTOS
Some photos from the Ball can now be seen by following the link on the 'Photos' page. Submit your own by emailing them to music@cf.ac.uk
The professional photos from the Ball are now on sale in the Music Library. Last orders by 12 noon on Thursday 23rd March.

08/02/06 - COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS
Soon, our time as your Committee will be up, and we need to find the replacements! The 10 positions available are:
President
Secretary
Treasurer
Choir/Orchestra Representative
ICT Co-ordinator
Lunchtime Concert Co-ordinators (2 positions)
Social Secretaries (2 positions)
Public Relations
If you would like to be considered for any of these positions or get 'job descriptions' for them, please email us on music@cf.ac.uk to let us know or keep an eye out on the Music Society board in the Department.
IMPORTANT: Nominations for President, Secretary and Treasurer must be received by 15th February, for voting on 22nd.
Nominations for all other positions must be received by 23rd February, for voting on 1st March.
RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE BALL!

07/02/06 - GUYS AND DOLLS BAND AUDITIONS
Act One Drama Society is looking for musicians to play in their production of Guys and Dolls. You would be part of a highly motivated ensemble of actors, singers, dancers and backstage crew.
Instruments required:
Horns:
Alto Sax (who can preferably double on clarinet, flute and piccolo)
Alto Sax (who can preferably double on clarinet and flute)
Tenor Sax (who can preferably double on clarinet)
Tenor Sax (who can preferably double on clarinet)
Baritone Sax
3x Trumpets
Trombone
Rhythm Section:
2x Keyboard
Double Bass
Drum Kit
Percussion
If you are a Sax player who also plays one of the doubling instruments please bring it/them with you to the audition.
If you are a drummer and/or a percussionist and are thinking of auditioning, please email me before the audition dates.
Auditions will be held between 7 and 9 in the music dept on Corbett Road (next to Aberdare Hall) on Tuesday 7th and Friday 10th Febraury. You will be asked to play a piece of your choosing which best displays your ability and some sight reading which you will have time to prepare.
The show is on 21st-25th March at 7pm. Players should be available for rehearsals the weeks leading up to the show and obviously every day of the show.
Please be aware that we can not pay you. But if you want to join an enthusiastic cast then come audition for us.

The Hard Rock Café (Brewery Quarter) have a promotion on during the month of March (Wednesdays) for local musicians to perform in the restaurant.

12/12/05 - UCAS INTERVIEW DATES
The UCAS interview dates for this academic year are:
Thursday 24th November
Monday 12th December
Thursday 26th January
Tuesday 14th February
Tuesday 14th March
This means the LLT may be out of use, so please check for any changes to lecture dates/times/venues. Also, practise rooms will be used for interview rehearsals, so please be aware and understanding.
