We're a busy society, bith socially and politically. In recent years, we've done everything from pub crawls, trips to the comedy club, days at the races, quizzes, fireworls nights and bowling to debates, visits to the Welsh Assembly, marches against top-up fees and our annual constituency dinners and annual Christmas curry!

Why join?

Cardiff Student Liberal Democrats are open to any student in Cardiff who wants to get involved in politics and meet new people. This doesn't just mean turning up to meetings and delivering leaflets - it means actually winning elections and doing something with what power we have. Recent members of the society have gone on to become local councillors and work in the Welsh Assembly.

Cardiff is also a great place to start getting really active in politics as a LibDem - we have a LibDem Assembly member (the brilliant Jenny Randerson), and a brilliant Lib Dem MP in Jenny Willott. We also are the largest party on Cardiff Council, and have lots of young Councillors who want to hear the views of students in their wards. To continue with our political successes locally, we need keen, new members - and that's where you come in. If you'd like to join, just drop us an e-mail to liberaldems@hotmail.com.
