WELCOME TO THE ENGLISH SOCIETY!
Theatre trips, cinema visits, live mike nights, parties, pub crawls, balls and more... the English Society is a friendly bunch aiming to see a bit more of Cardiff and have a lot of fun along the way! Everyone and anyone can join, from Geneticists to Philosophers, all are very welcome! Wednesday 13th April
Trip to Stratford to see A Midsummer Nights Dream.
Tickets on sale Thursday 17th March for £20, between 11-2 in the humanities cafe.
This is going to be the best trip ever! A whole afternoon spent soaking up the cultural atmosphere of Shakespeare's birthplace, followed by possibly his most entertaining play. Tickets are limited so hurry!

REACT MEMBERSHIP - send off your forms NOW NOW NOW!
React is how we get our very cheap theatre tickets. Its youth membership for 14-25 year olds to the New Theatre and is ABSOLUTELY FREE to join. It means you can get theatre tickets for a mere £5 instead of double figures but to join you need to SEND OFF THE FORM - many of which are available on the English Society noticeboard (opposite English noticeboards in Humanities Building near room 2.47). Its freepost to send it and a few weeks after you do you'll get a little card which you can take to the theatre or to us to get your cheap tickets! Otherwise you'll have to pay full price for theatre trips so send off those forms now!CREATIVE FORUM
We are very keen to set up a forum for your work whatever it may be, to provide a space where a plethora of creative skills can be enjoyed, we want poetry, prose, book reviews, theatre reviews, everything and anything! A new and better website is under construction for this purpose so please email us anything you would like to be included to EnglishliT@Cardiff.ac.uk and we'll get it up on the web as soon as we can!CONTACT US - GET INVOLVED
