IMG Football
*Football squad numbers for A and B teams are to be set at a maximum of twenty players, it can be less than this numbers. Players that are named in the A squad will then not be eligiable for the B team without prior permission from the IMG co-ordinator, with at least 48hrs notice. This will also be the case for players being transfered from the A to the B team.
Teams fielding players that are not on this squad list may be deducted points.*
1.The first league game will be on the Wednesday 18th October.
2.There will be 4 pools of 8 teams this semester these will then form 4 leagues of 8 teams after Christmas with the top two from each pool forming the premier division and so on.
3.Matches must begin by 2.30 K.O at Pontcanna playing fields.
4.Point Deductions/Penalties
May be imposed by The IMG Coordinator/AU President for any serious misconduct/foul play, this includes abuse towards referees.
Continous breech of IMG regulation will result in the removal of a team from the IMG competitions.
5. Referees
We aim to provide an neutral referee for every league fixture however teams must accept that this may not always be possible.
Referees will be allocated randomly and games that have not got an official IMG referee will require players/substitues from other teams to referee a half each.
Any abuse towards referees will not be tolerated and WILL lead to point deductions and possible exlusion from the IMG.
6.AU Membership
All players must be Cardiff University/Union students/staff.
All players must be registered with the AU.
Captians will be responsible for ensuring that players are registered and that they have bring their red AU card with them to all IMG league fixtures.
Spot Checks will take place and in the event of teams unregistered players, point deductions/exclusion will be imposed.
The fielding of illegal players and unregistered players has been a major issue within the IMG system in previous years. It will NOT be tolerated, any team found fielding illegal players will be removed from the competition.
7.Substitutes
Each time will be allowed upto 5 substitutes. These will need to be included in the teamsheet.
8.Team Sheets
A Team Sheet will be emailed to all team captains.
This will need to be filled in and emailed to img@cardiff.ac.uk by midday Thurday.
Any serious incidents should be included on the teamsheet.
9. In the event that IMG fixtures are cancelled due to wet weather, under no circumstances should teams play at Pontcanna or the Blackweir. The pitches are rented to us by the council, and if they cancel the fixtures, no pitches shall be used.
