Sorry for the lack of news in recent weeks. Technical problems prevented any accurate reporting of events. Also hardly anyone's been out on the piss, so there's been nothing to write about.

Blythin and Hadlow in Street Brawl

Cardiff University Water Polo stars Dave Blythin and James hadlow are to be questioned by police following an incident in ...the end on Wednesday night. A boozy night out ended in violence when Hadlow and Blythin left the end, where they had been drinking all night. An arguement between the two men, erupted into a flurry of kicks and punches in the road on Coburn Street, rather then risk injury their team mates let them slug it out until they seperated.
One eye witness sais "It was really frightening the were rolling round in the road punching each other, it was like something out of a film, a really violent film with lots of street fighting in."
The pair have been disciplined by the club, but it remains to be seen how the incident will affect team morale. Some CUSWPC fans have called for the pair to be dropped from the side until they make a joint public apology. Supporters club spokesman Brian Jones said "These players are role models to millions of young kids, if they aren't punished then it sends out the message that violence is accepatable."

Hinder Speaks Out

CUSWPC coach, Charlie Hinder has insisted that there is no rift in the club and that team spirit is as good as ever. Hinder rejected allegations that the Hadlow-Blythin incident was the result of deep tensions within the club, speaking yesterday he said "I think the Hadlow-Blythin incident was just the result of a few too many beers. To be honest I like to see my players knocking the sh*t out of each other, it shows they're commited. Its a good way for players to get rid of unwanted aggression, maybe Matt Hewlett should get involved in a few fights, then he wouldn't get so many majors when he plays polo." Experts are predicting that the next polo team fight will be dressed as women against a rugby team.

Punters back Blythin

Bookmakers in the Cathays area have sensationally slashed the odds on Dave Blythin becoming World Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, after a flurry of bets on the Polo Star. Blythin has always maintained that one day he will be champ and the bookies seem to agree cutting the odds on him holding the title from 6000-1 to 45-1.
