Sunday Walks:

Welcome to the Sunday Walks section. Because Sunday walks make use of a minibus, spaces are limited. For each Sunday walk, there is a sign-up meeting held the previous Tuesday at 6pm. These are held in the TV lounge on the 3rd floor of the Student's Union. The places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If the places are not filled on the Tuesday, then an email will be sent round asking if anybody else wishes to go on the walk. If all places become filled, we normally take some reserve names just in case any become available.

All Sunday walks leave the back of the Union (just outside Thresher's) at 930am. Please bring with you a packed lunch, waterproofs, and suitable walking gear. As Sunday walks are generally more strenuous than the Saturday walks, anybody not wearing the proper walking gear risks being not allowed on the walk.

Programme:

24th April- Ystrafellte: This lovely walk can be found in the South East Corner of the Brecon Beacons. Promising plenty of views, and not too difficult terrain, and also some great waterfalls, there's something for everybody on this walk!

1st May- Llanthony Priory: Located in a section of the Black Mountains, this walk has plenty of history taking in the Llanthony Priory. There is a unique pub in the vaults of the priory to enjoy, and great views on the short mountain stretch of the walk. Also to be seen is an amazing leaning church in Cwmyoy!

8th May- Bosherton and Stackpole: Located on the way to Pembrokeshire, this walk promises many stunning places to walk through. Stackpole Cliffs have been described as magnificent, whilst Bosherton has a series of interesting lily ponds, with some very good sandy beaches located fun along the walk!

15th May- The Black Mountain: Found in the West of the Beacons, this promises to be a very adventurous walk. Possibly not for the rambler who enjoys the coasts, but more for a rambler who enjoys a challenge. Giving plenty of views, including magnificent views of the Usk Reservoir, this will definately be a fun walk!

Exam Period! Good Luck Everybody!
