Pancake day/Chinese New Year
Ah, pancakes. Don't you just love 'em? They're so versatile too.We decided to hold a small (couldn't be much else, my front room isn't that big!) Korf gathering to herald in the time of giving up for 40 days, a few things that you enjoy and to see in the Chinese New Year, year of the Rooster (or to give it it's proper name Yiyou, which is year 4702 by the Chinese calendar. Korfball's not all about sport y'know).
So what did we do? We ate. We ate Chinese food, we ate Pancakes, we ate a lot. And we played the 'flour mound' game, which I've never heard of, much to the amusement of Amy, but managed nonetheless to get to grips with fairly easily. Ramzi got 'stuck into' the game too. Still, it wasn't all fun, we had to make the pancakes, which couldn't have been achieved without Amy's careful and measured addition of flour (she cooks by touch apparently) and James's skills with the sieve.
Anyway, here's two, yes, TWO whole photos for your delecatation and pleasure. I left my camera around, but no one felt inspired to take any photos.
