This is what we were up to in 2004!
*** Our first trips were Sat 9th and Sun 10th Oct to a local beach! This has been and gone!!*** Our second trips were Sat 16th and Sun 17th to a local beach! Best session yet!
*** Our third trip was a big one to WEYMOUTH for the SKA Aussi Kiss III. From Fir 22nd 5pm till Sunday 24th. A sweet weekend, with jen being the star performer!!! it was her 21st!!
*** Our fourth trip was Oct 30th. No wind but had silly people mountain boarding the dunes!! Nice
*** Our fith trip was a nice weekend in the gower! 13th and 14h Nov. Sunny weather but only a small puff of wind. Camping in November is not a warm thing!!(...in my pants!!)
*** Our next was Nov 21st to a beach where the wind was good, and a good weekend's kiting was had!
*** The wind was kind to us leading up to christmas, we had a number of nice sessions with people getting in the water! I got new boots, was cold :(
And what we did in 2005!!
***First trip of 2005 was planned for the 5th and 6th of Feb. All was looking good until the weather forcast changed and the wind went away :( trip was cancled, not good!***Second trip this year was a good one, the 19th and 20th of feb saw good wind and blue sky! Was a sweet weekend but perhaps a little cold! Bring on the summer!
***Third trip was on the 5th and 6th of March. Another good weekend!
***Fourth trip 20th March, best this year. Was shorts and t-shirt weather with a peachy wind. Didn't even need boots or gloves! Is summer here??
*** Easter break at the moment, but we have busses for the 16th and 17th of april so come along to the social to sign up on the 12th. See you then!
What we have got up to so far this term
**First trip this term has been to the wonderful beaches of Porthcawl. With wonderful sun and good wind on saturday everybody had a chance to get a kite in the air and fly. On sunday the sun was not out but with the wind slightly calmer we even had beginners taking mountain boards for a spin down the beach(followed by some spectacular wipeouts!!!) We also seem to have some fresh new talent in the club demonstrating some wonderful kitesurfing.**Aussie Kiss was a success, drunkenness and partying along with some good kiteflying and even some kitesurfing.
**29/30th Oct trip to the beach using cars...went well the wind kept up its good sport and gave us a run for our money. The rain started this week and evryone is now understanding the need for a good coat. But bring it on, the more rain = the more wind!!!!!
**Trip to the beach today(wednesday) by minibus, with the rain and the wind this shoud be good!!!
**The upcoming weekend we will be taking off as too many of us have birthdays(Arent we lucky??).
**The last few trips during the weekend have tunred up not much wind but this does not mean the end of our fun!!! Activites have included visiting all the local chippys; bungee running; dune mountian boarding; and low wind kite flying(always usefull for beginners)!!!
**Although not much wind at the weekends plenty of short notice small trips have been run during the week, wednesdays and fridays, all have gone well and those who have gone have had lots of fun
