Socials play a vital part of our club as it is where we get to know everyone on the team. We try to go to as many places as possible and are always open to new ideas of places to go and things to do!Please read below for a further insight into what actually happens on a ladies cricket night out!!!!
The first social of the year started in the Taf where we introduces our freshers to our many drinking games! We then headed down to the Toad for 90's night. We were soon dancing to the delightful tunes of Take That, Sister Sledge, and of course the one and only Chesney Hawkes!! Katy Lee then decided to show us her teddy bear rolling which we then all copied! She even managed to get some random men to do some caterpillar crawling!!
Our second social was a *'T' PARTY!* Everyone had to dress up in a costume starting with the letter 'T.'. Costumes included Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles, tramps, trainspotters, tree's, traffic light, tea lady, toothbrush and paste, transvestites, and even a used tampon (Hannah, the shame!!). We all went to Chillies for an all-u-can-eat curry buffet, followed by a night on the Toad for karaoke!
On Wed night we hit the union for Rubber Duck (all dressed in various uniforms!). The aim of the night was to keep your uniform together(poor old Hannah lost her hat within minutes!!). Can't really say a lot about this night because I was wasted (again!). However we won a prize in the raffle - good stuff!
p.s Where did everyone disappear to? I was drunkenly roaming Solus looking for you all!! Stiletto xxxxxx
Last monday saw our first social of the year with the men's team. I think that starting in the Woody at 7.30 when it was only £1 a drink was not one of my greatest ideas! We were all smashed by the time we got to Liquid. After introducing you all to the men's team (because they were too lame to do it themselves), we headed to The End where about 6 of us got egged by some twats in a silver car! Why was I the only girl to get it? Not a happy girl! Viv then took us to Gassy Jacks for yet more cheap drinks before getting a taxi down into town. Liqiud was complete carnage and I saw an array of alarming dance moves (including my own!). Laura was the little minx of the night, Hannah was the 'slightly too drunk one'with me being in my normal drunk state (would you expect any less from me??). End of the night came and I was the only one left (again-stop going home u bunch of losers!). Ended up being taken for an Indian by Will and Lamby at 2 in the morning. Any stories about the night post on one of the boards! xxx
We had a cowboys and indians night! Not many of you showed up - losers! Well done to Alice, Jess, Charlotte, Karen and Katy for making the effort! However only Alice and I lasted the night. Must have looked mighty strange being the only 2 dressed up at Rubber Duck! Never mind!
Last social of the term was to DRINK THE BAR DRY! Met in Gassy Jacks at 1 for lots of food! Cat was a monster with her bangers and mash! Went to the union and the majority of us were hammered by about 6. Those of you who went home beofre then are lame! Linnea was a star doing her lapdance for Lamby - she could make some money doing that! Just like to point put that I was the only one left at the end! Was on my own for about 3 hours but had set myself the challenge! all for the love of CRICKET!!! xxx
First social of the year was to Jumpin Jaks with the guys. I don't know about everyone else but that is the most drunk I have been in my life-and that takes a lot! Katie G was hammered at 7 after a few cheeky vodkas at my house-she was talking more than me! I'm sure that a good night was had by all-will get my photos developed-i've got no idea what are on them! I don't know about anyone else but I'm very bruised but don't know why. Also I remember being very excited about leading the conga around Jaks. Had an army theme social to Rubber Duck last week. Not a big turnout because you are all losers! I think between Ali, Anna, Suzie and myself we drank enough for the rest of the team. By the time I left the Woody it was spinning-never good! apparantly I was going round talking to various men's sports teams-effort! Eventually got into Solus, where we all lost each other. Have 2 memories of being in there-which I would rather not share! Anna and Suzie were sick in there, I was sick on my bedroom floor at some point during the night-only realised when I woke up! Tip of the week-never drink on an empty stomach!!
