2002-2003

Cardiff 1st team reached the quarter final of the BUSA Shield where they were knocked out by Warwick. In the group stages Cardiff remained unbeaten easily seeing off Newport, Bath, Bournemouth, Gloucester and local rivals UWIC in a
thriller. Notable performances throughout the group stages came from Shetty, Malik, Francis, and Ebden. In the quarter final, Cardiff seriously underperformed and fell short of Warwick's total by approx 60.

Cardiff 2nd team continued the success of the 1sts by reaching the semi final of the BUSA Plate, where they were knocked out by Worcester. Due to cancelled matches Cardiff managed only two games but won both comfortably. Notable performances came from Muse, Tucker, Adams, Ellis, Stevens and Regan. A very disappointing performance in the semis saw us knocked out by a team we would expect to beat fairly easily.

Both teams performed well throughout the season, although both captains, Lambe and Stevens, were left with the feeling that Cardiff had underachieved come the knockout stages.

2001-2002

Cardiff 1sts reached the semi final of the BUSA competition where they were controversially knocked out by Coventry in a game that had to be replayed, much to the anger and disgust of Cardiff skipper Simon Joiner. In the first match Cardiff seemed to have won easily on run rate when rain stopped the match leaving Cardiff needing 30 runs from 15 overs and with 9 wickets remaining. However, a complaining letter to BUSA from Coventry skipper Brockton, who has played a 'high standard of cricket' led to a rematch which Cardiff lost due to an outstanding individual performance by Coventry's opener. Good performances came throughout the season from Lambe who consistently excelled opening the innings, Muse, Jack, Jaura and Breese.

Cardiff 2nds struggled throughout for players and were knocked out in the group stages.
