going to be BIG!
Get involved - check out the Facebook group. 'Rallying the student voice' to make a difference and combat the problems with sport in Cardiff.
Whether it's a gym, swimming pool, boathouse, tennis court or hockey pitch - what is it that we need?
1st priority is the Rubber Crumb training pitch - which has the potential to benefit the most clubs - around 1000 students could directly benefit.
Get everyone to join Facebook group! - there is interest, demonstrated by gaining +1000 members in just a week.
J A-K added, because the University see that we have 8 applications per place, they don't see that the priority is sport - they are more likely to put ££ into research facilities to increase position up the league table as opposed to improving the 'student experience'. We pay a lot of money to be at Uni.
JW - Not making Cardiff a 'sports' university - just improving the facilities.
Similar initiatives in last 5 years, but they have always been STAFF, not student led.
The proposal will be take to the Uni board on February 13th.
What can YOU do?
