The weekend kicked off at 5oclock at the back of the union. Spirits were up and Joey was pissed..having already consumed a bottle of wine before even stepping on the mini-bus. Oh, and thanks to Donna who supplied the equivalent of a friggen minibar for everyone on the journey- “Alvino did flow!!” Once we reached Manchester we popped to the pub, and paid a visit to the offey. Once we were kitted up appropriately with copious amounts of alcomafrol (and playing cards) we headed back to the house and let the games begin. All in all we ended up playing drinking and card games to 3oclock in the morning. We were also guilty of dabbling in the 'box' game, this game revealed certain individuals ability to bend themselves into non-human positions….you know who you are!!!

Saturday morning our alarms went off at a fresh 9oclock. The Manchester tournament had a bit of a twist to it as we did not play in our Uni teams but names were put into a hat and picked at random. This meant that we could get to mix with people that we would be drinking, dancing and in some cases (Bambi), be snogging later, nice one lady!! Cardiff players were confronted with few but severe injuries as the day passed- Donna had a chunk of her thumb gouged out, long nails are a hazard I tell you. The second injury was a pass of the ball straight to Bambi's face, ouch. However, Breeze was able to educate me that if a player aint bleedin' they shouldn't come off court! Despite these set backs the day was a big bucket of fun and the teams that Cardiff played in did pretty well. Especially, Grace, Matt, Craig and Bambi's team. Who won thanks to bambi's amazing winning goal!!!

We all had one great curry that night, curry/food fight, Supplied by Grace and Bambi. Little Lady was successful in getting the entire curry house singing Happy Birthday to her brother down the phone. After this we had the privilege of takin' a ride on the *MAGIC BUS*, believe me when I say it was magic! We even got entertained by a bunch of Glasgow girls and their vocal skills. We were pleasantly surprised as we arrived at the bar to discover that the cocktails were served in goldfish bowls. This fact certainly helped along the limbo competition and ice cube game with the other teams! We don't really remember a lot after this.. But the bus journey home was great! That's about it. On this occasion we had the delight of an hour at home before training. Beautiful!
