When we're at the pub, it's usally just an occasion for drinking, talking, a bit of a get together and the infamous Chocolate Fudge Cake and/or Hunter's Chicken (the staple food of the Garrison)...
However, if you have a kit problem it can be brought along, as well as any crafts you feel like doing. Sometimes, though, things just get a bit silly...

Training at Cardiff Castle is a good opportunity for everyone to practice archery and combat, even if you've never done anything like it before.
Then, come Halloween, there's usually a bit of a party at Cosmeston Medieval Village after hours. This year, the theme was Ancient Greece...

Throughout the winter months we hold kit making sessions to help our new (and old) members make their costumes.
When the reenacting season starts in April, we begin to have shows - some at Cardiff Castle, some at Cosmeston Medieval Village and some elsewhere around the country. We camp in medieval tents for the weekend and eat food we cook in our medieval camp.

While we are doing our shows, we often teach Have-a-Go archery to the public and put on displays of archery, weapons, armour and combat.

And of course, it's not just the men who get to play with the swords...
