TOUR TO LEUVEN, BELGIUM
On 26th June 2007, the Big Band are off on their first ever tour! The destination, for fairly obvious reasons, is to Leuven in Belgium - the town perhaps best known as being the home to a rather well-known beer...Stella Artois.Over the 4 day tour, the Band will perform 2 concerts - one in a Nursing Home in Leuven itself, and one on the bandstand of the seaside resort of Ostend.

Please note that coach will not be available for use this morning. 10:30 - 12:00Tour of the Stella Artois factory 13:45Load coach and depart for Dijelof (Care Home, Leuven). 14:00Rehearsal. 15:00CONCERT (VZW BELLARMINO-DIJELOF, LEUVEN) 16:00Concert ends. 16:45Load coach and depart for Brussels. 17:30Approximate arrival in Brussels. Free time in Brussels. 22:00Load coach and depart for Leuven. 23:00Approximate arrival at hostel. |
| Thurs 28 Jun 2007 | 08:00Breakfast at hostel. 09:00Load coach and depart for Bruges. 11:30Visit Chocolaterie Sukerbuyc, Katelijnestraat 5, Bruges. This is one of the few chocolate makers who still make their products by hand. The visit is free of charge and lasts approx 30 mins. Recently renovated, the chocolate makers will be able to fit a group of approximately 40 people into one demonstration. Free time for sightseeing and lunch. 13:30Load coach and depart for Ostend. 14:00Approximate arrival. Rehearsal at venue. 15:00CONCERT (OSTEND BANDSTAND, OSTEND) 16:00Concert ends. Free time. 17:00Load coach and depart for Leuven. 19:00Approximate arrival in Leuven. Rest of the evening at leisure. |
