Event Information

Want a day chock-full of board and card games? How about various exciting roleplay adventures? Even some epic wargames battles or treacherous social games? This is the event for you!

BRAWL (formerly RAWSoc) will be holding several big All Day Gaming events over the summer and this is the third! If you've been to any of our events before, this is rather like an ADB, ADR and ADW all mixed together. If you haven't, well, it's a fun day full of whatever games YOU'd like to play! We'll have buckets of roleplaying and boardgaming, as well as some wargames if you so wish.

You don't have to be a student or a member of the society to come along and play. ALL WELCOME.

BOARDGAMING
There will be many, many board games available for you to play throughout the day and we'll be running some social games like Are You A Werewolf? and Assassins in the Palace as well. You can turn up absolutely whenever during the day and it won't be long before you're playing something!

People are highly encouraged to bring (a) game(s) along with them, if they can. It makes for a lot more games and a lot more variety. BRAWL has nearly 350 games and will be bringing as many as we can manage! Here's a list of all the things we own. If there's anything you particularly want to play, post below and we can bring it. If it's not on our list, ask below! Someone in the society is bound to have it.

MAGIC THE GATHERING
Most of us are casual players and not all will have standard-legal decks, but we'll be bringing some decks of both Normal Type (technical term) and Elder Dragon Highlander/Commander. We have spare decks if you don't have your own and, as with any of our games, we can teach you how to play!

ROLEPLAYING
We'll have several different roleplaying adventures and scenarios for people to play during the day! Throughout the event, various GMs will be rustling up players and whisking them away to a quieter sideroom to play some fantastic adventures. We'll have a list of the games on offer soon and make sure to feature the list prominently on the day so you know what's running and, if the GM has a preferred start time, when!

We're always looking for people to run roleplaying scenarios at our events! They're a perfect chance to test an adventure or practise GMing. Please contact us if you'd like to run anything.

WARGAMING
Fancy a wargame? We'll be bringing Pocket Battles and MechWarrior and you're welcome to play (no armies or experience needed). If you want to play any wargames (particularly skirmish games), you're welcome to bring something along. Please bring any terrain you need, though we may have some on standby. If you're looking for a battle, just say what you want to play below and arrange a game with other attendees!

BRING AND BUY
There will be a Bring & Buy stall. BRAWL will be bringing along some unwanted stock from its library and you're encouraged to bring anything you want to sell that you think BRAWL members might like! You get to keep any money you make.

REFRESHMENTS
We'll have some! There will be cans of fizzy and packets of crisps. Though, if you'd like to make anything and sell it on the day, we certainly won't mind! We reimburse you for your ingredients and the proceeds go towards keeping the society awesome.

COST
Free for members, non-members £2. You can join the society on the day if you wish, which means you'll be able to attend events like this (which we hold regularly) for free in future.
