We are delighted to welcome Tredegar Town Band's Ian Porthouse to be our guest conductor this year. A former Principal Cornet player of Black Dyke Band and described as one of the finest Cornet players of his generation, Ian Porthouse, is one of the most respected and successful conductors in the brass band world today. He is also currently head of Brass Band Studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
Rydym wrth ein bodd mae ein arweinydd gwadd eleni fydd Ian Porthouse o Fand Tref Tredegar. Fel cyn-brifgornedydd ar Fand Black Dyke ac un o chwaraewyr Corn gorau ei genhedlaeth mae Ian Porthouse yn un o arweinwyr mwyaf llwyddiannus ac uchel ei barch ym myd y bandiau pres heddiw. Mae hefyd yn bennaeth ar gwrs Astudiaethau Bandiau Pres yng Ngholeg Cerdd Birmingham.
