The Student Development Unit provides a range of courses to improve your personal, employability and transferable skills. Student Development Unit courses can also assist you in building up evidence in your Personal Development Planning (PDP) portfolio.

The courses are broken down into three main areas:

Certificate of Professional Development
Available in 3 grouped disciplines: Communication; Personal Effectiveness; Leadership.
Each group is divided into 5 separate skills. Certification is attained by attending all 5 sessions in the group and completing a short evaluation.

Q. Who may attend these courses and sessions?

A. All current Cardiff University students on degree and post graduate courses including doctorates. Masters students who have completed their studies and are awaiting the results of their autumn dissertation may attend in that term.
